I led the building of a fully autonomous photo booth for TreeHacks 2026. It was six feet tall, six by four on the floor, made entirely of Home Depot lumber. There was a false wall at the back hiding the camera, ring light, iPad, and printer, which gave hackers the curtained booth to themselves. All they had to do was press one button, and they'd walk out with a printed photo strip.

My role as a TreeHacks organizer was to create/plan HackX events, which were the fun events hackers could go to throughout the hackathon. A friend introduced my partner and me to the concept of robot fighting, and we got in contact with UFB. We constructed their 12×12 fighting cage outside, and hackers fought humanoid robots against each other via remote control. My favorite part was reading through LinkedIn/X posts after the event, as many people referenced the robot fighting as one of the coolest parts of their experience.
